At the last days of my trip I am getting a bit lazy with writing. Sorry about that.
I have already been in 2 other country's since Vietnam but I will try an remember what I have done.
On my last day in Hanoi the day I wrote my blog I didn't do much.
In the evening I had the take an other nightbus back to Hue, I was getting pretty tired of nightbusses. They are easy transportation, and for a bus quite comfortable. But after too many of them my back started to hurt, I got annoyed by busdrivers honking there horn all the time and eating bad food in the middle of the night.
But anyway I made it back to Hue, I stayed at Hue-backpackers a big packers chain that reminded me of Stayokay a little bit, pretty impersonal staff but good facilities.
It was raining all day, I met some girls in my dorm and we hang out not doing much (again), looking at rain, buying souvenirs, and eating. The next morning I had to take a bus again. I took a day-bus to Hoi An and got to spent 5 hours in this city until my next night-bus. And guess who I could meet up with?!
Mark, Sandy, Josh and 6 other members of the family.
It was so great to see them again and it felt like not that long ago I left Port Stephens. I really hope this was not the last time I saw them. After hanging out for a while it was time to get on a nightbus again (hooray).
But this time to a new pace 'Nha trangh' a strange beach town with lot's of Russians. I met up with Joe again. In Nha Trangh we went to crazy bars to meet crazy people. And took a 'healthy' mudbath.
After this we took a bus to Da Lat, a nice mountain city with fresh air and flowers, but the healthy mud got the best of us. (or the drinking)
Joe was struggling with a bad cold and infected food and I got a horrible migrane and a bad cough.
But we tried to make the best of it, rented bicycles and went to the market.
And then we took the bus to Saigon (I know this city is called Ho Chi Min City now days but in the city all the locals still call it Saigon, so I think they prefer this)
I love this city! Just the right craziness. The craziest thing is crossing the road, which requieres confidence and determination here is good youtube video the demonstrate this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8WUZCXAi2g.
And then there is this street, a normal street by day, but at night it turns into this 'beerstreet' all the bars put tiny chairs outside and you can drink lot's of cheap beer, get offered lot's of strange stuff to buy, meet lot's of people, locals and tourist.
Joe's foot was still really painfull so during the day I explored the city by myself. I met some locals (This is so much easier that anywhere else in Vietnam!) and went to the war remnants museum.
On my last day in Vietnam I took a trip to the delta of the Mekon (a really long river in Azia). It was tourisic but really cool and beautiful.
And then it was time to fly to Thailand...
